Fiske’s Hoof and Hide Balm was developed by a veterinarian and it’s formula has remained virtually unchanged for over 100 years. Farrier recommended, this special blend of botanicals has stood the test of time, repeatedly proving itself to be ‘a sure friend in troubled times’. Until 2006, it was privately made and sold by Leon Fiske to some of the wealthiest horse owners throughout North America, before being introduced into the commercial market by his daughter Melanie Fiske.

In 2013, the health maintenance benefits of Fiske’s products were realised in the United Kingdom by a young horse enthusiast named Alice Webb. Over the two years that followed, with the help of her farrier uncle Philip Webb and family, and support from Melanie, manufacturing was for the first time established outside of Canada to supply a European market.
